Sep 18, 2010 · Now televisions and most blu ray players have a 24p support, they can play and show a blu ray movie in its 24p rate. For instance a 120mhz display (24 * 5). On a pc, you will have to have software that sends out the signal at 24hz or a multipliable number of that, 24hz or 48hz or 92 hz or 120 hz. You can adjust a modern day videocard to do that.

Nevertheless the 1080p SBS/T-B comes closer to 1080p@24hz f-p (full hd), that 720p f-p. Of course there is the matter of performance, and cost/benefit analysis, but if your machine can handle 1080p in stereo you should definitely go the SBS way, or interleaved as is the case with passive tvs.

Nov 30, 2017 · I have now set it to 1080p 50Hz (European TV standard) and match resolution only and it actually switches to 24Hz with some apps. If I set it to 24Hz it does not autoswitch back to 50 or 60Hz. Netflix and built in Movies works fine. Plex, HBO etc does not autoswitch at all, yet.

Oct 24, 2008 · Unless the TV support 24p as an input it won't work with directvs 1080p output. If it doesn't support a display refresh rate that is a multiple of 24 then it won't matter, eg 48 or 72 HRz etc. The only real benefit of 24p is the ability eliminate irregular repeating pattern that gets used to convert 24p to 60i. Jun 13, 2011 · For your regular dvds set the receiver to upscale to 1080p 24 as well as this will make them look better. Unlikely it will take interlaced sources and covert them to 24 Hz. 480p24 is not supported...
