Jun 16, 2009 · The Intel 2200bg definitely supports WPA2. I have one running WPA2 in a T42 running both Win XP and Win 7. As fmyhr says you need to be sure you're running a version of Win XP which supports WPA2. SP1 does not support it, but there is a Microsoft patch. SP2 and SP3 include WPA2 support. Hope this helps.

Oct 22, 2005 · I have an HP nx8220 with the Intel 2200BG and I have WPA-TKIP setup without any problems. The version of drivers for my WiFi is 1 version back from the lastest. I don't believe WPA2 is supported on the 2200BG's, so don't try using that. You can try enabling the SSID Broadcasting and see if that helps with the detection.
