Update the NSM5200 to version 2.2.x or greater. This version contains a firmware update for the 3ware / LSI RAID controller card that supports 3TB hard drives. Someone there also reports that 3ware customer service said the 12-port version of this card will not support drives larger than 2TB, so I'm sure mine won't either. The new 2TB drives we recently ordered are working perfectly, so we'll send the 3TB drives back.

May 05, 2016 · The 3Ware 9000 series also doesn't officially support JBOD passthrough, so it's very likely that your drives have been configured as a bunch of single-disk RAID0s, which means they have 3Ware RAID headers on them and won't be importable to a regular HBA.
