Jul 01, 2018 · Like semire I also have an Acer laptop that I have just logged into for the first time since before September 2018. I got the message saying that Acer portal services had been withdrawn in September 2018 and it just gave the option to click OK which I did not realising that once I did this I would then have a completely unusable laptop with just a black screen and a constant egg timer appearing!
