    Oct 27, 2015 · I am having the same problem with ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery missing from the Device manager every time I reboot my Acer 5755G laptop. The problem is without it running my laptop turns off without a warning when the battery runs out and these is also now way of knowing when it is going to happen.

    Since the new windows upgrade, my HP Pavillion 10 K007na laptop has lost the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery driver There's no battery indicator on the taskbar. In the Device Manager, there is no ACPI Compliant showing under Battery, only Microsoft AC Adapter, so I can't try the normal ways of reinstalling it.
