Apr 03, 2015 · All I have done is drag an ASPxGrid onto the page, click LookAndFeel and set it to Office 2003. Then switch the designer to the HTML view. Lots of controls have errors referring to the "Active schema". What am I missing? Answer: Please ignore these errors.

However, I am getting warnings: The active schema does not support the element 'asp:Table' Is this something to be concerned about?I'm using VS.Net 7.1 - and had hoped to produce a number of dataitems, where the header spans 2 columns.

Nov 12, 2005 · The <xml> tag is part of Internet Explorer's support for XML Data Islands, but it isn't strictly HTML. The red squiggle is generated by Visual Studio .NET to notify you that you've diverged from the schema it has for HTML 4.0. It uses this schema for Intelli-Sense. Aside from that, you can go ahead and enter any tags not supported by the schema.

In you current schema the type itemTypeBase is defined with respect of the <xs:simpleContent> and derived type itemType with the respect of <xs:complexContent> which is not allowed. Either you allow no sub-elements and use <xs:simpleContent> or you do use child elements and use <xs:complexContent>.
