Jan 02, 2012 · There is no AFD in device manager under non plug and play drivers. In HKLM, there are the proper entries under the currentcontrolset\services key. The afd.sys file is there and has even been replaced with a good one. How can AFD be added back to Device Manager.

Apr 01, 2009 · A bit of further information: in safe mode Device Manager shows Human Interface Devices, i.e. the keyboard and mouse, etc. that do not appear in a "normal" boot. Also only in Safe Mode,are entries for a USB composite device (KB) and for an Unknown device.
