Dec 05, 2013 · I'd like to see Ahsay support backing up the stdout of an arbitrary program (pg_dump, gbak (interbase/firebird), tar ...). It would be very flexible for situations like this, and restores would be just the same as using a staging file. It should be trivially possible to implement given the mysql behaviour and how sync algorithm works.

Jul 26, 2018 · ahsay are lying to customers: ahsay is not a license perpetual product. when your perpetual license expires, it's supose that you can continue using this software, but then: surprise! a misterious problem appears and you need to pay again to get support and "solve" the problem.

If you can't, you might want to reconsider, because Ahsay is a Chinese company in Hong Kong. This says "May I have Technical Support, please?" It's something you might be typing in an email to Ahsay because that's about the only way to get tech support, and many of their "partners" complain it takes days to get a response.

The time used to maintain this in the daily operation is extreamly high. Support is slow and not usable response time for proffessionals. A LOT of bugs, new ones as well as old ones that keep popping up. Ahsay seems to use bully methods, changing models as they like and forces you to buy the software.

Due to host-level backup initiated by Ahsay which takes VM into saved state, backs up and tries to restore VM I ended up with 2 VM's in State Starting-Critical (one of them Status Restoring (99%), other Status Starting (10%)) They stay stucked in these states and I have tried "everything" to stop them for wiping away, but no luck.

Get away from Ahsay. We moved from Vembu SG to Ahsay years ago and tried using it for a little over a year. Restores failed ~30% of the time. Ahsay could never pinpoint why and their support is a joke. Their pricing model (was at the time) a bigger joke. We switched to Novastor which was also garbage.
