From Veritas InfoScale 7.1 onwards, DMP supports multi-controller (more than 2 controllers) ALUA compliant arrays. For ALUA arrays, the dmp_display_alua_states tunable parameter displays the asymmetric access state of the Logical Unit (LUN) instead of PRIMARY or SECONDARY in the PATH-TYPE[M] column.

Oct 26, 2012 · Symantec's DMP does support many NetApp arrays running in ALUA mode. Please check our HCL to ensure that your specific array is listed as supporting mode "A/A-A". I do not know if the Microsoft DSM support ALUA mode or not. You would need to check with Microsoft for the details on what their DSM supports.
