Jun 05, 2007 · C1E = is a power saving enhancement to the state the CPU is in when there is totally nothing to do at all. Whilst doing something productive with your computer, it spends most of the time in C1 state - and if you make it C1E, you'll save power.

AMD users just as much as long ad C1E is disabled and AMD Cool n ' Quiet/Power Now is left enabled. a core in C1state can return to processing instructions instantly, a core in C1E must be woken up first.

It is recommended to keep C3, C6 and C7 all enabled for better power saving" I use tools like ThrottleStop or RealTemp TI to read out the used C-States over time under various loads. If C3 Enabled, C6 Enabled, C7 Enabled: only C7 is used. If C3 Enabled, C6 Enabled, C7 Auto: only C6 is used.
