In fact, those RAID controllers are a joke and offer no real world benefit to software RAID but have a few drawbacks. However, Windows 10 software RAID does support TRIM. So I suggest, use software RAID, it is as fast as it would be when using the "hardware" RAID, has none of the drawbacks and will definitely support TRIM.

Sep 12, 2016 · I managed to boot in to windows but figured out that trim isn't enabled for my ssd. I've updated to the latest driver but it doesn't seem to be fixed either. I heard Intel has trim support via their RST drivers. Do AMD has trim support for their raid drivers or any kind of software that do support it?Reviews: 20

Nov 13, 2014 · Even today, TRIM support for SSDs in RAID arrays is very rare, only Intel provides TRIM support for RAID 0 arrays (and only RAID 0), and only on mother boards that use Intel 7 series (Z77, Z75) chipsets, or newer chipsets (Z87, Z97, etc). The only RAID drivers that support TRIM in RAID 0 is the IRST (Intel Rapid Storage Technology) version 11.x ...

Despite their many advantages SSDs have some limitations, one of the things you must have is TRIM. The problem is that the TRIM commando does not work with SSDs in RAID, something Intel has solved in its latest drivers that should come out soon.

Jan 05, 2015 · hello, for the past week or so i have been searching and searching for an answer about how to enable trim with raid 0 on an amd driver.(amd option rom 2011) there has to be away to trick windows into thinking that this array is solid state..??.. i just cant find it anywhere. i was also wondering if there was a way to use intel's drivers on an amd setup???

Dec 21, 2012 · Hi guys, Looked all over the place for a definitive answer to this question: Do AMD RAID drivers support TRIM for SSDs within an array, or do they support TRIM for an SSD connected to a SATA port set to RAID but not part of an array, or they do not not support TRIM at all when SSDs connected to a port set to RAID?

All Intel RAID ROM modules from v10.1.0.1008 up can be modded according to CPL0 's new method. The "TRIM in RAID0" feature is now available for all Intel Chipsets from P965/ICH8R up.
