Dec 13, 2017 · It worked fine today. Select the first two options of making bootable USB and Windows Support Software download. And, then again selected the third Install option manually. Its not mandatory for the Support Software to be present to install Windows. The first option creates the bootable USB.

May 06, 2017 · I, like many others, got the infamous "Windows Support Software Could Not be Saved" error, and therefore, could not get the full potential out of my Mac while running Windows. But as long as you keep Bootcamp Assistant OPEN after you receive an error, You can manually save the Support Software to your Hard drive or USB Drive.

And BCA don't give me the flash drive and download support software options. It asks for Windows ISO and then partition the drive and then goes straight for the downloading of Window Support Software. Another problem is each time I get this error, BCA downloads all the Windows Support Software again.

Moreover, the install disk and the recovery disk are showing that the MBP is still on Lion - the install disk is still showing the "install Snow Leopard" dialogue box while the recovery disk is showing the option "Set up and restore Lion" (or something like that, I can't remember), while when choosing the startup disk, it shows "Macintosh HD Mac OS X 10.6.7"!

Jan 07, 2011 · I am trying to install boot camp on a 2007 white Macbook. When I try to get the "Windows Support Software" it gives me two options: burn to cd/dvd and save to a fat-32 formatted external drive. I have tried both to no success. For the cd/dvd I am having to use an external dvd burner because the internal drive no longer works.

Jan 19, 2011 · I'm trying to install it to a bootcamp partition, already partitioned 50 gigs for it. And if what's on the CD's is all I need then why does it specifically tell me "Addictional software designed specifically for each Mac is required to fully support Windows.
