Todo uses iCloud to sync tasks between different instances of Todo running on your devices. Todo's task data in iCloud is currently separate from the iCal task data stored in iCloud. To illustrate this, think of iCloud as a large filing cabinet. iCal and Todo are each given separate folders in the filing cabinet; documents stored in the iCal folder are separate from documents stored in the Todo folder.

We have gathered a little more information about the iOS 8 and iCloud update. Apple is introducing iCloud Drive. iCloud Drive is only compatible with iOS devices running iOS 8 and Macs running OS X Yosemite, which is not yet available. Enabling iCloud Drive will prevent Todo on your iOS device from syncing with Todo Mac (until Yosemite is released) and other iOS device not running iOS 8.

Todo informs iCloud that there are changes to be made, but it cannot control when iCloud will perform the updates. Under some circumstances beyond the control of the Todo app, you may experience a situation where one or more of your devices do not seem to have the same set of task data.
