So, I know that I'll have to boot from an Apple disk in order to initiate a Time Machine restore, but now I only have my Leopard disk.

Dec 02, 2015 · Yes, you should be able to do that. First, boot off the Snow Leopard DVD and check for the option to reinstall from Time Machine. If found, go to Disk Utility and erase the hard drive with a format of Mac OS Extended (Journaled) option GUID. Then restore from Time Machine using a backup that had Snow Leopard as the OS.

Jan 24, 2013 · Ok, this looks liuke the place. iMac Intel 10.6.8. time machine back up on ext Hard drive. Clean install Snow Leopard 10.6 from disc. Software upgrades run (to get from 10.6 to 10.6.8).
