May 15, 2015 · Sophos UTM will now attempt to register your current public IP address with your Dynamic DNS account. Sometimes it can take a bit of time. For lab usage I found that rebooting Sophos UTM was a good way to force a registration attempt.

I'm using Astaro build 2.019 with cable connection to the Internet (dyn-IP). Everything works fine, the only thing witch I don't get work is installing a dyndns-Client on my box. I figure out that there is no C compiler installed on the FW witch is needed to install serval clients.

When they receive a new public IP address from the ISP, they then contact the Dynamic DNS service and update the public DNS name with the new IP.

Aug 28, 2015 · I have enabled Dynamic DNS with Sophos as Provider, select an Hostname (bernddausch.myfirewall.co) select my WAN Interface and NATed Public IP. In the WebInterface the last Update Status is success and i can see Successfull Update Messages in the System Log Viewer, but the Hostname ist not resolveable by nslookup.

Apr 24, 2018 · FreeDNS was on UTM 9, is there any reason why it has not been carried over to XG Firewall.... I for one would like to have FreeDNS enabled in XG firewall as I see no technical reason why it should not be there. or at least have a custom setting for Dynamic DNS that enables a feature to set Dynamic DNS via a url that can be called by curl.
