Mar 20, 2016 · I've been having the ASUS anti-surge problem, and I know it is not due to a real power surge because I live in a area where lightning and Thunder is very, very rare, and the first time it happened, nothing in my house acted weird, and I did a bit of research, and most people say anti-surge is the problem, and it only detects anti-surge when I play graphic intensive games.

May 08, 2014 · Hello everyone Do you feel that Anti Surge Support under Monitor menu in Bios is useful? My computer suddenly lost power when I play 3D games. I think maybe Anti Surge Support is not quiet perfect so I disabled it and find FPS in game increased. The problem doesn't happen again. Do you disable Anti Surge Support?

Sep 25, 2014 · Asus Suite told me it was the 3.3v rail that was running too low and that was why the asus anti surge kicked in. To cut a long story short, i removed the PSU from my case as I wanted to test each rail with a multimeter to confirm that the psu was faulty - (as asus suite was suggesting).

Feb 10, 2016 · ps: As mentioned before, it might be the cause of a slight drain, then return to normal voltage, however the surge protector confuses that as a voltage spike, causing your issue. If that's the case, you can safely disable the "Asus Power-Surge Protection" as that slight drop in voltage doesn't actually hurt your system.

I read somewhere that you can disable anti-power surge protection on the Asus motherboard somewhere through BIOS but I have no idea how to do it. Can anyone help? Update: Asus themselves advise customers to disable it. Anti-surge protection does not work as intended.

Now in some cases it actually works like its intended so while its buggy it sometimes work and the PSU might be broken, so turn off Asus Anti-surge but if you still have problems then it might be a hardware problem.Author: Baasha
