Sep 05, 2012 · Got this weekend my new G75vw. Because of my work i need a partition with windows xp. So deinstalled windows 7 and formatted the hard drives. Make a new partition on the hdd and installed windows xp proffesional. The only thing is that with this installation the BIOS setting of the controller must be sata. Now trying to get the Intel 7 series chipset sata AHCI drivers, but it won't work.

Sep 22, 2019 · I'm Googling and the results aren't promising. From what I read, there are no XP or Vista Intel drivers for the 8 series chipsets. Currently my cab has a Core2Duo chip, so I guess I should start looking to purchase one of the fastest Core i7 Ivy Bridge chips I can find, along with a compatible motherboard, and squirrel it away for the future.
