Does the X299-Deluxe motherboard support CPU Virtualization?

    https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?98907-Does-the-X299-Deluxe-motherboard-support-CPU-Virtualization
Jan 26, 2018 · I'm thinking of buying this, and would assume it supports CPU virtualization (which I need), but it's not listed in the manual I downloaded. In my X99-A manual it's under "CPU Configuration". I suppose it may have been ommitted it as it depends on the CPU. Help appreciated, thanks.

Feb 16, 2008 · Virtual machines are a software solution in its nature. CPUs with virtualization support can more efficiently run virtual machines with OS support (by recognizing virtual machines and assigning related tasks to capable CPUs) but you don't have to have a hardware support to run a VM, technically speaking. I don't think motherboard has anything to do with Virtualization.

Feb 15, 2016 · Asus has WS lineup of motherboards so of course they're not gonna give you VTd on a consumer board. lol :D Asrock or MSI or Gigabyte and so forth is a different story. But it is actually true that Z97 chipset itself doesn't explicitly support VT-d (it does support VT-x) but for example the Asrock Z97 Pro4 does have VT-d.
