Ok but according to the Asus P5K manual guide, I should be able to use the JMicron controller in ahci mode . Normally, if I follow the tuto, step 10 and 11, the hard drive is connected to the JMicron and when windows comes up, it asks for drivers.

Update uCode to support new CPU. P5k (pchipset) if this is posible? And we wanted a bit more CPU power! Jun 21, 2012 · I installed it and run it in AHCI mode, but I could not get windows to recognize it (win7 was already installed on a HDD and even with the registry trick to make it load the drivers it still hated me ). So I pulled it back out, stuck it in my new machine to update the firmware, then stuck it back in the P5K and loaded Win7 onto it.
