I bought two WD 3TB RED drives, hoping to put them into a RAID 1 configuration, but the [censored] P6T motherboard doesn't support 3TB drives in the Intel RAID! I've gotten around it by using software RAID provided by Windows, but whenever Windows closes unexpectedly it has to resynch the whole drive, which takes days and slows down the entire computer …

Jul 16, 2011 · Whilst my HDD capacity is a TOTAL of 3TB, each drive is smaller - the largest being my 1TB internal WD RE3 and external LaCie eSATA drives. The systems have no problem recognizing those. (I multi-boot). I'm reading online that these 3TB drives can present a problem getting systems and even software to actually recognize them.

Sep 21, 2013 · Hi. My ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 LGA 1366 motherboard has compatibility problems with a 3TB hard drive. It had something to do with UEFI interface, which my motherboard does not have.
