May 04, 2010 · This is clearly not the case. I’ve tested the U3S6 in the P965 and G31 boards, and both have worked flawlessly. So if you think you can’t get USB 3.0 on an older system, you’re mistaken! Most likely this is a ploy to try and force you in buying more ASUS products to use the U3S6 device.

Apr 22, 2012 · In fact, my USB-3.0 speeds with an Asus U3S6 USB-3.0 PCI-e card (in my Asus PST Deluxe V2 motherboard) are closer to very fast USB-2.0 speeds as opposed to USB-3.0. I read speculation somewhere on the web that the Asus PST Deluxe V2 motherboard is not so good for obtaining USB-3.0 speeds with its PCI-e bus so it may not be the PCI-e card's fault.

Dec 14, 2012 · Windows 8 natively supports booting from USB 3.0 now, but the USB 3.0 card must have boot code (in order to be seen by the BIOS as a bootable device) and all the ones I find do not, except for the Asus U3S6, which is expensive, no longer avail by Asus and has a whole host of problems if your not on the approved motherboard list.

Aug 07, 2011 · Trying to use the x8 slot on M2N-SLI for Asus U3S6 (USB 3.0 and SATA 600). It works fine with a 2 monitor setup under XP, but not under win 7. My guess/deduction is that win7 tries to determine what monitor(s) are attached to the U3S6. When booting win7, the monitor will show bios, the U3S6 is recognized, but the login screen will fail to appear.
