So, I'm still soliciting comments about PCI IDE controllers that support optical burners well, esp. cpu utilisation and max burn speeds. Anyone? regards, Halcyon. PS Many boards have 4 parallel ATA channels integrated. It's just that they do not all support ATAPI drives properly. Usually the second controller is a software raid controller.
