Mar 17, 2019 · I’d love if NVIDIA were more open regarding documentation (ATI scores more points here) but I have to say I like the company’s attitude towards OpenGL, which I’m not sure I can say about ATI. NVIDIA offers driver support for Linux on x86, AMD-64 and IA-64. Furthermore they support FreeBSD, too. ATI is still struggling with Linux on x86.

Link to issue on AMD support forum is here. OpenGL runs 10-70% slower compared to Direct3D. This is an optimization issue on AMD's side. There is no workaround for this issue. People will need to wait for a proper working driver. Link to issue on AMD support forum is here.
