Northside Hospital offers free monthly support groups for stroke survivors and their families. The groups promote knowledge, psychological well-being and successful adjustment. Groups are facilitated by a registered nurse and a licensed clinical social worker. Registration is not required. Discussions include:

It can motivate passive patients to become thriving survivors and create new active roles. Each stroke survivor faces a unique set of physical and emotional challenges. And each cope their own way.

Traumatic Brain Injury and Stroke Support Group. This group, one of four available at North Fulton Hospital meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. in Suite 100. Stroke Support Group. This group for stroke survivors meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m. in Suite 100. Stroke survivors have various degrees of TBI.
