Feb 09, 2015 · As far as I'm aware, ".m4r" is the same format as M4A and AAC, just with a different file extension. Unfortunately there is currently a bug in Audacity's AAC export, so better to export from Audacity as a WAV file, then use another program (such as iTunes) to convert the WAV to AAC (and then rename it with a ".m4r" file extension).
