When I try to run a REGISTER sequence, Sipp complains that: "Authentication requires OpenSSL support" Now, I've done an extensive search, read through the manual etc. but it is not clear if OpenSSL is compiled into the v3.1 precompiled binary and I'm just missing a DLL, or whether I need to do my own compilation with OpenSSL support.

Try installing ‘OpenSSL-devel’ or something named similar. It should be available via the YUM package installer. – This solved my “Authentication requires OpenSSL support” a few months back on the same OS. I have been using SIPp v2.0.1 on windows in UDP/ TCP and TLS mode and it works fine. Not sure if this is some version issue.
