May 29, 2011 · i have a computer i got from my aunt, when the computer starts up, at the top of the screen it says award modular BIOS v4.51PG at the bottom it says: 08/21/1998-ALADDIN5-2A5KKB0DC-00 i want to know if there is an update for the bios, because i want to use a Maxtor 80GB hard drive.

Feb 03, 2008 · In this thread all non-working bios files should be posted. Well all BIOS files (public release and beta-files) of the Asus A7V8X do neither work with cbrom(215, 217a, 32...), awdbedit nor with amideco(by Anton Borisow(~v)). The mainboard has an Award-BIOS with Version 6.00(PG).

Mar 21, 2005 · Yes, it would be cool and useful, but it also becomes incredibly difficult to develop and support becuase of lack of hardware. You'd have to find someone who has a particular type of BIOS to do testing for you. The biggest question is, is the development time required to implement multiple BIOS formats really worth the effort?

Nov 12, 2019 · Only after purchase of the GTX 750 Ti, failed install and inquiring of support personnel comes the news that any UEFI BIOS motherboard is required. EDIT: After much inquiry of the Gigabyte support, found out this morning the the GTX 1650 Windforce from them does not require any special BIOS. Legacy ones like Award 6 works fine.

Feb 23, 2016 · If you're getting Award Bios's BootLock - this means something is wrong with the flashing code contained in your BIOS which probably happened due to a corrupt BIOS flash/update so it's protecting your PC by locking everything out and giving you a chance to safely reflash your BIOS securely in DOS.

I don't understand how this is legal, but this guys should have a data base with the updates so anyone could find the updates for what I already paid when buying ...
