BackTrack is a very popular free Linux distribution that is commonly being used to hack into wireless networks by using Aircrack-ng to crack the WEP/WPA encryption. So it is relatively easy and very cheap to use Backtrack by booting a live USB/DVD. Nov 24, 2014 · I think it may work under BackTrack 5 r3. I used this at some point, but can't remember what kernel it had. According to WikiDevi, the rt2800usb driver supports this card since Linux v2.6.31 (2009-09-09). I've this card. If you're interested for its 5GHz support, it doesn't support properly 802.11n over the 5GHz band.

2. Alfa AWUS036NHR. The AWUS036NHR is currently the most powerful wireless adapter by Alfa with very good signal strength.
