BellSouth DNS problems today in Southern Georgia, including very slow responses and timeouts. My modem’s diagnostics page shows dns.mia.bellsouth.net, so maybe its related to the previous poster’s comments. I pointed my Mac (using the Network preference panel) to one of the OpenDNS servers, and things are much better.

Cbeyond came back to me and said they made the changes to the SOA and DNS last week. I don't know if they made any of your recomended changes to their own DNS or not. I did send a test email out to my father, who has a bellsouth.net account, and have not gotten a response so it is still not working.
