Dec 12, 2015 · The best mechs for starters are mediums and heavy class mechs. Timberwolf, Thunderbolt, Stormcrow and Hunchback are all solid choices for beginners. They offer a good balance of firepower, armor and mobility. Light mechs are more difficult to play, since the have less armor and rely on good and fast movement to not die quickly.
