Nov 08, 2011 · I want to know your opinion about who's better support, just support i don't want you to say janna heals and deals dmg, i'n only interested on support abilities, and please dont say different champs (but you can say who is better of those 2 and then of the whole game if you want) also I would like reasons such as: janna is better in these situations sona is best with this kind of champ.

Jul 06, 2011 · If Sona is an aura support character and Soraka a healer/debuff support, Janna is the offensive support character. Janna can dart around the lane or teamfight, dealing damage, interrupting ult casts and shielding allies while keeping herself safe at the same time.

May 14, 2011 · Sona has a decent stun for her ult, but she can't add much damage and she can't heal the team that much during. Janna can constantly disrupt the enemy team and manipulate them the way she wants, allowing her team to just steamroll. Overall, Janna is the better support to learn to play.

But I can't see how Janna is better than Sona when playing against a poke lane. If Janna shields one person, then the one who isn't shielded can get poked. If Janna shields the ADC for a trade, then it's 2v1 and her ADC doesn't trade enough or/and the poke goes through Janna's shield.

She has arguably better CC due to her Q. She has a better shield which gives survivability and AD, and she has a panic button ult used to split bad teams apart or peel people away. I'd still pick Janna though. She is just what I'd call an excellent support. I'd follow it with either Lulu/Sona/Leona.
