No, its not, its dice, DX11 is a resource hog that XP cant not handle, the XP uses a different construction set, than Windows vista/7. 7 is built for gaming in mind, look at your task manger when ever you game. most task are killed to get the most performance while playing. XP was not built with that mind frame.

I have Windows 7 and a GTS 250 GPU, I assume if I wanted to I could play BF3. So I'm not too bothered about them giving XP the cold shoulder, arguably that OS is old by today's standards and we need to utilise the current software available.

I don't think it's the game devs that should be blamed for that, it's M$ for not putting dx10 in XP when they could have, it was just a 'perk' I guess that they could use to sell units.
