However, to set up homegroup (I am guessing you are talking about Windows 7 and newer) you just need to have IPv6 enabled on your machines - you do not need full IPv6 support for it.

Feb 24, 2017 · Bigpond Cable had IPv6 turned on for me weeks ago, others are also reporting the exact same thing here on Whirlpool. I assume Telstra has a plan to turn on ipv6 for all Bigpond Cable customers if it has not already happened. Unless I am now on the NBN network and I just wasn't told :)
