Yesterday my bigpond email on my Mac suddenly stopped working. Other accounts ok on the Mac and bigpond ok on my android phone. I thought it may be a password problem so changed that. Still no good. Deleted account and tried to reinstall but I get message "unable to verify account name or password"....

I have had continued issues with being able to use bigpond email on the Mac mail - Th biggest issue is that I can receive but not send emails. When I try to delete the bigpond account and re-establish it - it says cannot verify password (even though i am 100% i am using the correct password). None of the troubleshooting has worked.

May 05, 2017 · Judging by a number of our customers negative feedback, we get the feeling that Telstra Tech Support people don’t really understand Apple Mail (Mac Mail) When setting up POP bigpond mail accounts on a new Mac using Apple mail, the mail can appear as “offline” with the resut that mail cannot be sent and backs up.
