Jan 29, 2018 · Would be nice to have HID proxy support for Bluetooth devices. This would make it possible to go into bios on boot up with a BT keyboard. As I have read, this is already a feature on mac os. Dongles build on CSR 8510 chipset, may be able to handle this. There is a long and old thread where people discuss this here:

Even after attempting to uninstall SCPtoolkit drivers, reinstalling Bluetooth drivers, and USB drivers with no luck. This went on until I decided to buy a brand new Bluetooth adapter suspecting it was a hardware issue, but they both had the same problem being read simply as "dongle" in the device manager.
