This software should be able to emulate routers, hubs, bridges, NIC's and other networking devices. So, then somebody can setup a vitual network within the PC and by running multiple sessions of the BOCHS he can connect to the network.. That is , design and implement a virtual network wihin the PC.

Since bochs is sending and receiving raw network packets, you need to be root to use the network device. To allow normal users to do this would be a security problem. Now run Bochs to boot DLX Linux. Press enter a few times to accept the default configuration choices. This tells Bochs read the configuration file and then begin.

Apr 12, 2017 · Since Bochs cannot wite to CD/DVD the other direction is not yet possible. Adding a virtual network folder to support host-to-guest communication is on our TODO list, but I don't know when we'll be able to implement it.
