Aug 29, 2005 · As it turns out, older versions of BOINC did not recognize the existence of CUDA at all after CUDA 6.5 was installed, because CUDA 6.5 also dropped 32-bit support. (This has been fixed in BOINC 7.4.26.) So users of older versions of BOINC on Macs are fortunately spared the kernel panics.

Both Nvidia and ATI/AMD have by now released drivers for the most popular GPUs, to have them support OpenCL. Nvidia runs behind on driver maturity though. It'll be hit and miss for their drivers for a while yet. The new BOINC 7 (tested as 6.13) has OpenCL support for ATI/AMD and Nvidia GPUs only. Supported operating systems? Windows XP and above.

Oct 05, 2009 · My problem is that BOINC also says "No CUDA-capable NVIDIA GPUs found" The graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 with 1 GB memory and should therefore be an CUDA-enabled product. I installed the latest drivers: - NVIDIA Driver 190.38 for Windows 7 (64-bit) with CUDA Support - GeForce 191.07 WHQL Release Date: 2009.10.05
