My problem has persisted and am now being told by BT that my exchange setting has not been upgraded to infinity 2 and the cabinet uses Aluminium Tags and not copper so causes a reduction in speed . The very sad thing is I was told BT Openreach have no obligation or any timescale to replace the Aluminium .

Hi there, As Kerry's said in the text that you've quoted, on Infinity option 2, there is no download limit, in the sense that as long as you don't try and download "the latest version of the internet" 😉 then you'll not be penalised.. BT throttle P2P speeds, as they consider these to be non time critical.
