What matters is that you are eating appropriately for your needs, what ever way you do this (eg: via portion control, via spreadsheet, via diabetic exchange lists) Calorie tracking is only as accurate as you make it!

May 02, 2019 · My problem with food tracking apps for calorie counting is that if you do your own cooking, you have to enter each ingredient and hope it's both in the database and has the numbers entered accurately. It drives me insane trying to pick from the different brands, serving sizes, and nutrition counts of eggs, veggies, crackers, bread, etc.

So, do some research on calories burned per hour, and bear in mind your body weight is a considerable factor, as is your fitness level, the terrain, weather conditions etc.
