Sep 18, 2014 · If you have a 2G only phone, which is unlikely, you would need a new SIM card. In order to work on ATT a phone needs to have 3G bands 850 and 1900. Not all phones will work on ATT, so choose one that is ATT compatible. You don't have to buy from ATT. Amazon has several ATT Gophone, so does Best Buy.

Jul 07, 2019 · Yes 20 years old, in puerto rico they use band 1900mhz for 2g. The phone supports 1900 and as i said it already worked some days ago with my friends tmobile sim. It is very weird and can really be pointed towards the prepaid sim in specific. Nothing else to suspect. But why would prepaid sims work differently than postpaid? Doesnt make sense....
