I was concerned with power so I went with the quad core i7 version, put in 16 GB RAM, and configured a “home made 1TB fusion drive” with the stock 1TB drive coupled with a 256 Samsung 840 Pro Series SSD.

Dec 28, 2014 · So any mini can drive two external USB monitors, but for good performance, you need to do 2x thunderbolt, plus the built in DVI which is only on the high end mini. I personally do an iMac, display port for DVI monitor, and USB to another DVI monitor for a 3x setup.

It features four Thunderbolt 3 ports, and HDMI port, and according to Apple, up to “two 4K displays, and a third on the HDMI port”.

Dec 21, 2018 · Answer I can now confirm, using the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter you can use up to 2 Apple 27-inch Thunderbolt Displays [daisy changed; i.e. connecting one to the adaptor and connecting the second to the Thunderbolt 2 port on the first display]; in addition to using the Display Port connection.
