My SSD reads MBR, my HDD reads GPT, because the convert process for each one is different. On my SSD, it reads "Convert to GPT", so that is my goal, before proceeding with using Aomei again, right? I will try this once, and get back to you with the results. It looks like cleaning the SSD from the OS I migrated to it is the way to convert to GPT.

I have bought a pcie 3.0 ssd nvme sabrent rocket 2280 of 1tb for my x470 rog strix-f. I have updated the mobo with the latest bios update. I also read that with the new updates, this mobo supports also ssds with pcie 4.0. But, when I put the ssd inside the m.2 slot, the bios doesn't detect it.

I purchased a Samsung 1TB SSD that I can plug into the PC and I can get it to recognize it just fine, no problems there. As a result, I don't believe the problem lies with the motherboard. Mar 24, 2017 · I have been looking in that about NVME and it maybe looks like it can work if the the SSD has a Legacy driver support build in. I found this that i will take a closer look at. Since my mobo is also a Asus X58 motherboard, i might cut get it to work and my mobo is a second gen board aswell that also might increase the chance.

I thought I fried my CPU and was about to get one. Good thing I asked you guys to check it out cause I learned it was actually my hard drive which was the problem.
