What not expensive solution would I need to have a third monitor running? the EVGA 210 i have has a HDMI port, a VGA and DVI. i just convert them all to VGA and it worked.

I'm pretty sure that you can only use one video card at once unless you have a card that supports SLI which I do not believe eather the 8400 GS or GT 210 support. You should probubly return the 8400, if you want 3 monitors then you need to get a motherboard with more than 1 express slot and 2 video cards of the same kind that support SLI.

Dec 15, 2011 · Yes that card will work if A) one of your monitors has DisplayPort or B) you have a working DisplayPort to DVI or HDMI or VGA adapter. In other words, no matter what, one of the video outputs has to come from that DisplayPort. The other two outputs can be any combination of HDMI, DVI, or even VGA. If I force it to 'test' 2160 it just says that the monitor doesn't support that resolution. I'm using a decent HDMI 1.4 cable, and I've installed the latest Nvidia drivers. Device Manager (in both OS's) shows the monitor as 'Generic PnP' and Nvidia Control Panel simply reports the monitor as 'Samsung', so I wonder whether the system thinks it doesn't have a 4k set attached?

Dec 09, 2014 · Only the 600 series+ can support 3/4 monitors on a single GPU. For 3x monitors (non surround) you will require a 2nd Video card. In all honesty; if you are planning to use "Surround", I would not recomend it on anything less than a GTX660, as it is extremely taxing on the both the System and Vram of the graphics card.

When I log in I will get a screen flash similar to that of when you plug a second monitor in or change your display settings.
