Aug 11, 2013 · I keep getting the "cannot support the TKIP security type in 802.11n mode" message on my bd e5400 blu ray player. It used to work just fine. I have not changed anything with my ISP. I tried reinitializing as suggested in various online forums but that did not help.

Dec 07, 2010 · If you don't have an old router (preferably 802.11n, I assume) that works, try connecting to the E3000 via the password or WPS. It should connect. Then, disable wireless security on the E3000. Check network status on the BD-C6500.

Jan 16, 2011 · It finds the router but a message at the bottom of the screen says, due to change of wi fi policy,cannot support the TKIP security type in 802.11N mode. It also says; In that case, check a security setting on the access point. I have talked to Comcast, my cable provider and Netflix. they say it has to be the router.
