Linux users can process their RAW photos by grabbing the latest builds of UFRaw, RawTherapee, or LightZone. Alternately, you can use a recent version of dcraw and convert the files to another format.

May 16, 2019 · I'm either not searching with the right words, or support for .CR3 from Canon camera's like the M50 (that I have) doesn't exist for any RAW editor on Linux (using Ubuntu). RawTherapee, GIMP, Darktable, none supports the relatively new .CR3 format from Canon.

Dec 17, 2017 · I purchased Lightroom6 standalone yesterday and after installing on my MAc I found out that it does not recognize RAW images with file extension CR2 taken by Canon EOS T7i. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Jun 22, 2017 · Printer/scanner problems almost always boil down to which model. Canon has some Linux support, but not the Lide 70 as @Vic has already found. I have had great success with HP brand products, and I think they have about the best Linux support... but even HP has some models that are not supported too.
