Mar 21, 2007 · I cannot get the new empty VM to boot from either an OS DVD or from an ISO image. All I get is a blank screen and pressing the start button does nothing but blink a couple of times. Does the BIOS screen ever show up (logo and "vmware" and progress bar at the bottom)? If not, this is a problem, maybe the installation didn't quite work.
