Dec 07, 2015 · The current kmod-jfs on CentOS 6 comes from the ELRepo repository so I suggest that you raise an RFE on tehir bugtracker to request it. Since the el6 jfsutils were in the CentOS 'extras' repo you might want to ask ELRepo if they could provide that too since I suspect it makes more sense to have both provided by the same source.

I'm using kickstart to deploy a bunch of workstations and servers. All of these boxes need to have one partition with XFS/JFS/ReiserFS .

It is easy to make it available on Fedora Core during installation. What you just have to do is, as soon as installation screen appears, hit the tab button and make the menu option editable.

Nov 15, 2017 · I can now create JFS filesystems on the SD card. This is the most important half of my issue. The other half is mounting JFS which I apparently cannot do without the kmod-jfs package. Unlike the jfsutils package, I cannot find the source to the kmod-jfs package anywhere. ...and of course it is not in any of the CentOS 7 repos.

Nov 12, 2007 · Depends on how old is the kernel. I only have 2.6.22 and 2.6.23. They do contain JFS support, as a module. To set jfs filesystem on the device you will need jfs utils (I take the example of debian but refer to the one you want to install) mkfs.jfs is the command insite jfsutils you need to "format it as jfs"
