Sep 12, 2006 · I have recently purchased a SATA card that indicated it had support for linux, it is a Sunix Sata 150 RAID PCI card. After installing it in my CentOS 4.2 test machine, it didn't seem to be recignised. So i went to the driver disc only to find it only has drivers for 2.4 Kernels.

Sep 21, 2006 · sata controller support is not a "given" I believe, but intel chipset is a pretty good bet (which is the case for you) If you boot the centOS install CD and get to/past the disk druid partitioning without err, you are out of the woods.
