Nov 14, 2019 · In this case Davinci Resolve. At the moment, there is no codec other than cineform that can act as an intermediate between Resolve and Vegas. So I am a little stuck - unless one or both of these programs adds wider support for intermediate codecs. Or Magix "fixes" cineform support.

Yes, I use Adobe Premiere for reverse video and animation video on alpha and the standard export format for alpha is the Cineform GoPro - so.. import support for the codec into SF would provide a great workflow between Adobe and SF.

GoPro/Cineform no longer makes binaries available to install into Windows for DirectShow video players to be able to read/play Cineform files. They only make source code available. Cineform these days kinda only works in editors that support it natively and nowhere else. A quick Google found me this site with the old decoders.

Instead, the Cineform codec and SDK has been released as open source by GoPro and David Newman. cineform-sdk. I would expect to see tools like Virtualdub Filtermod and FFMpeg incorporate full Cineform support in the near future so this is a good thing in the long run.
