Nov 12, 2010 · The 2950 uses the modern standard way of configuring etherchannel however the 2900XL uses an older method not much in use now. This doesn't mean you can't create an etherchannel though, it should still work. The 2900XL doesn't support PaGP but again this is not a problem. The 2900XL can load balance on soure and/or destination.

I'm a software guy and new to setting up switches. I was told I can setup an Etherchannel on my 2 new Cisco C2960X-48TS-L switches. I was told I can connect both switches together with just 1 cable, or setup Etherchannel and use 2 cables for double the bandwith.
